Scholarship Recipient - Brooklyn Bussen
My name is Brooklyn Bussen and I am graduating from Wallace County High School in Sharon Springs. I grew up on a farm/ranch in the small town of Wallace. My family runs a farming operation as well as maintaining a cattle operation. My parent’s names are Jason and Carrie Bussen, and I have one younger sister named Emma who will begin high school next year. I enjoy barrel racing and roping in my spare time. My future plans are to attend Fort Hays State University and major in Nursing. I got my CNA(Certified Nurses Aide) license last year, and recently acquired my CMA(Certified Medication Aide) license. I chose nursing because I love working in medical situations. I am excited to begin my nursing journey because it can potentially take me anywhere and there are so many opportunities in the field of nursing. I have an interest in labor and delivery and the emergency room. I think that I will like the fast-paced atmosphere and surprises that they have to offer. I plan on taking my horse to Fort Hays with me to join the Rodeo Club, overall I am excited to start attending in the fall. Lastly, I would like to thank Frontier Ag for awarding me this scholarship, it will greatly help me along my journey.
